I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was pretty warm here in Colorado over the weekend, 94 degrees, I’m still not complaining knowing that it was probably 110 in Arizona. Over the weekend my husband and I spent a LOT of time outside. Saturday we went to Denver and spent the afternoon wandering around City Park and enjoying the scenery, warm sunshine, and cool breeze. Seriously you guys, summer doesn’t get much better than when you are living in Colorado! Sunday was a little different. It was about 10 degrees warmer and we decided to do a 50 mile bike ride, crazy, I know. If you follow me on Instagram I posted a couple pictures. Lets just say that by the end I was tired, hot, dirty, smelly, thirsty, and extremely hungry! All that exercise left me with a major craving for some cold delicious creamy ice cream! When I do a LONG hard workout like I did yesterday I like to reward myself with a little treat and usually that treat is ice cream. Not only do I like to go out for ice cream, but I also like to make it. To keep some of my favorite flavors and recipes organized I use a great website called Foodie.com.
This is a sponsored post with Foodie.com—All opinion are of course, my own.
Over at Foodie.com, I have collections of recipes for salads, dinners, desserts, drinks, and many more. Foodie is a great place to find new and fabulous recipes, and I can store them all in one place and easily access them when I’m ready to give one a try. My latest collection is called 12 Ice Creams to Cool Off With This Summer! With temperatures heating up and 4th of July coming this weekend, I thought this collection would be the perfect one to share with all of you. The collection is full of great flavors such as strawberry angel food cake, toasted s’mores, salted caramel, and for something a little lighter strawberry chocolate chip frozen yogurt! Are you drooling yet? I know I am!! If you haven’t signed up for Foodie.com already, get on it! It’s super user friendly, full of great recipes, and even more importantly it’s a great way to organize all those recipes without getting overwhelmed. Be sure once you sign up for Foodie.com to take a look at these amazing ice cream recipes I’ve collected. They are the perfect way to make even the hottest days bearable!
