- 1/2 of a baguette about 12 slices
- 12 slices of brie, cut about 1/2 inch thick, rind on or off
- 1/2 of an apple, cut into 12 thin slices
- 3 tablespoons toasted chopped walnuts
- Cayenne pepper for sprinkling on top of the crostini, optional
- Honey for drizzling and fresh thyme for garnish
Preheat oven to 375° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if you have it. It's not necessary, but will make it easier to remove the crostini if the cheese melts onto the baking sheet.
Place the baguette slices on the baking sheet and top with a slice of brie. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until the brie is melted.
While the crostini bakes, slice the apple. Remove the crostini from the oven and top them with a slice of apple, a sprinkle of cayenne, chopped walnuts, thyme leaves, and then drizzle with honey. Serve immediately.
