Servings: 15 servings
- 30 mini phyllo shells
- 8 ounces brie cheese
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preheat oven to 350° and place the mini phyllo shells on a baking sheet.
Place a cube of the brie in each phyllo shell and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the brie has melted.
While the brie bakes, pour the maple syrup into a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Once boiling add in the pecans, dried cranberries, cinnamon, cayenne and a pinch of salt. Let the mixture come to a boil again and cook for approximately 2 minutes or until the syrup thickens slightly.
Remove the baked brie bites from the oven and top with a small spoonful of the cranberry pecan topping. Best served immediately, but taste great at room temperature as well.
