Greek Turkey Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce and Greek Tomato Salad- Juicy turkey burgers topped with cool, creamy tzatziki sauce, feta and a Greek tomato salad for maximum flavor. Serve them in pitas for a fresh and flavorful dinner!

Guess what? May is National Burger Month! Now that is something to celebrate! With so many different kinds of burgers out there, there’s bound to be one that will make everyone happy. I’m currently crushing on these Greek Turkey Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce and Greek Tomato Salad because I’ve got a serious love affair with Greek and Greek inspired food.
May is the perfect month to declare burger month. The weather is warming up, hopefully the snow is a thing of the past, school is getting out, Memorial Day barbecues and picnics are on the horizon, it’s time to fire up that grill!
You may remember last May when I made these Green Chile Turkey Burgers with Guacamole and Pickled Red Onions? What a mouthful of delicious Southwest flavors those were! Well this year the burgers are still a mouthful, but they’re full of Greek flavors instead.
The burger itself uses fresh dill, spinach, red onion, feta cheese and garlic to get the Greek flavors rolling. Then, because I’m all about the toppings, I had to add the classics. Cool, creamy tzatziki sauce, more feta cheese and a Greek tomato salad are piled high on top of the burger for maximum flavor.
Instead of going with the classic hamburger bun, I went with pita bread. With all those toppings, stuffing a pita was a much easier way to keep everything contained, plus it’s a more traditional bread.
Ideally, the Greek turkey burgers should be grilled, because nothing beats a grilled burger. However, if you don’t have one, a grill pan or skillet will do the trick. Be sure to oil the grill grates or spray your pan with cooking spray. Since this is a lean meat it tends to want to stick to the grill or pan.
Do yourself a favor this weekend and clean off that grill, fire it up and make these Greek Turkey Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce and Greek Tomato Salad! Enjoy!

I added greek olives to the sides …… absolutely lovely recipe. Thank you for sharing
Adding olives is always a good idea in my book! Thanks for trying the burgers Carla.
We made these tonight, and they were so so good. 5 out of 7 in my family loved them (and trust me, those are good numbers…those last two don’t like anything, haha). Thanks for the recipe!
I’ll take 5 out of 7! ;-) Glad to hear they were a hit.
Have you tried to make additional burgers and freeze them for later use?
Hi Julie. I haven’t frozen these particular turkey burgers, but I have frozen others and had success. I assume it would be the same result.
I made this tonight and it was delicious! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for trying the burgers Jessica, glad you enjoyed them!
Oh my god, these were sooo good. My whole family loved them. Question about the nutrition analysis. I logged the recipe into My Fitness Pal, minus herbs, vinegar, or any no calorie ingredient, and I came up with only 180-ish calories. I left out the pita rounds, but still, it’s fAr below your 451. Can you advise?
Hi Karen,
I’m so glad you enjoyed the burgers, they’re one of our favorites! The calorie difference could be from the ground turkey that was used, there might be a different fat percentage. It could also be the feta cheese, I know those can vary slightly. Were you including the toppings in your calorie count? Other than that I would say the biggest calorie difference is coming from the pita. All calorie counters vary slightly depending on the brands they’re pulling their information from.
I am always a fan of Greek flavors. This burger is no exception!
YUM! I love all the herby flavor and different textures going on here. And pitas are a fabulous idea for this recipe! Where did you get those cute rounds?

Thank you! I found the pita rounds at King Soopers AKA Kroger. I loved the mini size!
