We started the week with Honey Peach Frozen Yogurt and we’re ending the week with Skinny Peach Milkshakes, this is a very good week! While I’m itching to start sharing pumpkin recipes with you, I still feel like it’s just a little too early, but be prepared, they’ll be here before you know it. In the meantime, let me tell you about these Skinny Peach Milkshakes.

Skinny Peach Milkshake | Recipe Runner | There's no ice cream in this shake, but you'd never know! Thick, creamy, & peachy! #peaches #milkshake #healthyThese milkshakes were a favorite of mine growing up. I remember looking forward to having them every summer. My mom would stalk the freezer full of frozen peaches that way anytime my sister and I would want one she could easily whip one up for us. Not only did my mom make them for us, but my grandma did as well. They are so simple and make the perfect snack on a warm summer afternoon.

Skinny Peach Milkshake | Recipe Runner | There's no ice cream in this shake, but you'd never know! Thick, creamy, & peachy! #peaches #milkshake #healthyTo make the milkshakes you simply add milk, plain Greek yogurt,  frozen peaches, a little bit of sugar, and vanilla to your blender. If you want to make these a little bit more decadent and cheesecake like in flavor you can add some light cream cheese. Next, blend everything up until it is thick and smooth. The mixture is so thick and creamy you will probably have to push the peaches down to the bottom a couple times to get everything blended up.

Thick, creamy, & peachy! #peaches #milkshake #healthyThis Skinny Peach Milkshake is bursting with fresh peach flavor and is so thick you’re gonna need a big straw or spoon to get it out. I tried drinking it straight from the glass and ended up wearing half of it as the frozen mass fell from the glass on to my face, rookie mistake.

Thick, creamy, & peachy! #peaches #milkshake #healthyYou may be wondering why I didn’t just call this a smoothie. Well, there are two reasons. First, when I make a smoothie I use honey or agave to sweeten it, not sugar. Most of the time when I use sugar in a recipe it’s for something more decadent and dessert like. The second reason this isn’t a smoothie is it’s just too darn thick. Smoothies are something you can drink down easily and don’t need giant straws or spoons for, they also don’t normally give you a brain freeze. Annnnd this brings me to the topic of brain freezes. I don’t get them. Is that weird? My husband and mom both get horrible brain freezes when they drink something cold too fast. You should see them, it’s like they are in the worst pain of their life! I don’t get it. I just kind of look at them like they are crazy and being dramatic. Of course then on the flip side they looks at me like I’m nuts when I suck down an ice cold drink without any hesitation. Do you get brain freezes? Am I the only one who doesn’t experience this “excruciating” pain from inhaling their ice cold drink too fast? Anyways I digress. Brain freezes or no brain freezes you need to make these Skinny Peach Milkshakes before peach season ends and the all pumpkins and pumpkin recipes come flying at you. What are you waiting for, stop reading this and go make one!
