A Bourbon Peach Slush is the perfect frozen summer cocktail! Bourbon and peaches are blended together to make a fun, easy and delicious boozy slush!
Peach season won’t be around much longer and it makes me sad because I just love my Colorado peaches so darn much! I haven’t had a bad one all summer. They’ve all been sweet, juicy, and peachy perfection. To make sure I can still have my peaches during the snowy months I’ve been freezing them. Yes, I’m that weirdo that still enjoys cold frozen things when it’s snowing outside. Of course frozen is never as good as fresh, but there are still lots of things to make with frozen peaches, like this Bourbon Peach Slush!
Best Way to Freeze Peaches
-
Cut a small, shallow ‘x’ in the skin of the peach. Blanch the peaches in boiling water for about 30 seconds. Immediately place them into ice water.
-
Peel the skin off of the peaches, remove the pits and slice them.
-
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay the slices in a single layer on it.
-
Place the baking sheet in the freezer and flash freeze them for a couple hours.
-
Store the peaches in an airtight sealed freezer bag.
I’ve always been a fan of peaches, but it wasn’t until the last year or so that I discovered how much I enjoy bourbon as well. I love the rich smoky flavor it has and how it’s not only great for cocktails, but cooking and baking as well. It also turns out that peaches and bourbon are a phenomenal combination together.
Making the Bourbon Peach Slush is not only simple, but uses just five ingredients. Frozen peaches, bourbon, ginger beer (or ginger ale), lime juice, and a little sugar are all you need to whip up this dangerously delicious frozen cocktail.
Simply add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. It literally takes less than 5 minutes. The flavor is a perfect balance of bourbon and peaches, so if you like those two things then you’ll love this drink!
These slushes would be perfect for serving during a football party, a fun weekend with your girlfriends, or in my case my weekly Sunday 5 o’clock happy hour! Get those juicy peaches in the freezer so you can whip up one of these fantastic slushes whenever the mood hits you!

I had some ginger ale I was looking to use and found this on Pinterest. So glad I was sick earlier this week! I ended up adding raspberries as I didn’t have enough peaches and it gave it a nice tang. Thanks for my new summer drink! http://www.onemissingingredient.com/raspberry-peach-ginger-bourbon-slushy/
Sounds delicious! I love that you added in the raspberries. Thanks for trying out the recipe!
This looks so amazing!! Definitely making this once peaches are in season!
Thanks Eden! I can’t wait for peach season so I can make these again!
Do I peel the peaches first??
Hi April. Peeling the peaches is up to you. I didn’t bother with it because they basically disappeared when everything was blended together, I’m also a little lazy when it comes to that. ;-)
These look amazing Danae! Beautiful work. I feel like every state loves their own peaches. I’ve heard people talk recently about Utah peaches, California peaches, colorado peaches. Hopefully someday I will try them all :)
Thanks Karen! When I lived in Arizona I always looked forward to the Utah peaches, but now that I’m a Colorado girl I can’t get enough of our local peaches!
This really *does* look dangerously delicious (in the best way)! I don’t want peach season to end, either! This is on my list to try this week! Yum!
It’s so dangerous Patricia! I know I’ll be making another batch this weekend! Cheers!
This sounds amazing! I sense a night out on the deck with this in my hand in the very near future!
Thanks Holly! I’ll probably be doing that exact thing with a couple of these this weekend!
Love this grown up beverage! You can’t go wrong with juicy, delicious peach anything in my book!
Our books are identical Julie! Thanks so much!
Bourbon + peaches = OMG YES! I’m such a huge fan of both of those ingredients so in slushy form I’m totally sold.
I don’t understand how there are people in this world who don’t like bourbon and peaches! They were meant for each other!
This sounds so incredible! I love Bourbon and peaches together too. And nothing beats a Colorado peach.
Amen! Cheers to bourbon and peaches Katie!
This sounds like the absolute best way to enjoy peaches!
It’s a pretty darn delightful way to enjoy them if you ask me! Thanks Rachel!
Happening this weekend for sure, absolutely love these!
Thanks Matt! Hope you enjoy them!
A crazy day at work requires one of these to relax and unwind. I just bought some peaches on Saturday – this is a must try!
It’s a delicious and wonderful way to unwind Julie! I know I’ll be unwinding with a couple this weekend!
We don’t eat a lot of peaches here but this, this I would make in a heart beat!
Bourbon mixed with peaches has that effect on people Des! ;-)
I’m right there with ya – so not ready for summer produce, especially peaches, to go away! I’m loving this refreshing slushie you’ve got going on here! So sweet, so boozy, so yum!
Thanks girly! Boozie slushes are my happiness on the weekends!
I could have definitely enjoyed a glass of this slush yesterday! Peaches already seem to be disappearing at the grocery store and it makes me so sad!!
I don’t know what I’ll do without my peaches Beth. I need to stock up and fill my freezer with them!

Oh my this looks AMAZING! The only problem I see, is that I would drink the whole pitcher :) Pinning!
