How to Make Baked Goat Cheese Dip
This is an overview of the recipe with step-by-step photos. Full ingredients & instructions can be found in the recipe card below.
Whisk together the raspberry jam, finely chopped chipotle, and adobo sauce.
Place the goat cheese, cream cheese, and Greek yogurt into a mixing bowl. Use a whisk or rubber spatula to combine them.
Spread the dip into an 8×8 or similar sized baking dish that’s been greased. Bake for 20 minutes or until it’s warmed through and bubbly.
Pour the raspberry chipotle sauce over the top of the baked goat cheese. Serve hot with crostini or crackers.
Tips for Baked Goat Cheese Dip
- Use full fat Greek yogurt so that it doesn’t curdle while baking.
- Make sure the goat cheese, cream cheese, and Greek yogurt are at room temperature or they won’t combine together well.
- For a smoother creamier texture, but the goat cheese, cream cheese, and yogurt in a food processor and puree until smooth.
Substitutions and Variations
- Use a different flavor of jam. Any berry jam works well.
- If you don’t want to use Greek yogurt, omit or substitute with an extra 2 ounces of cream cheese.
- Give the dip a little texture by garnishing it with chopped pistachios.
- Drizzle with honey for additional sweetness. Hot honey for an extra spicy kick.
- For a less spicy raspberry chipotle sauce, omit the chipotle chile and just use the adobo sauce. 2-3 tablespoons is a good balance.
Storage and Reheating
Storage – The dip will keep in an airtight container for 4-5 days.
Reheating – The leftovers can be reheated in a 350° F. oven until warm or you can microwave until warm.
Freezing – I don’t recommend freezing baked goat cheese dip.
Can Baked Goat Cheese Dip be Made Ahead of Time?
Yes. The raspberry chipotle sauce can be made 4 days in advance and the goat cheese dip can be prepared 2-3 days in advance. If you plan to make the dip in advance, I recommend spreading the dip into the dish you plan on baking it in. This way you don’t have to wait for it to come to room temperature so it’s spreadable.
