Prosciutto Wrapped Apples with Manchego Cheese are perfect for fall and holiday entertaining. Made with only four ingredients and can be ready to eat in 15 minutes or less!

Since there’s so much planning and cooking involved I like to try and have my game plan together a couple weeks in advance. Mostly because I end up changing my mind at least three times about what I’m going to make. One thing I’m planning to serve are these Prosciutto Wrapped Apples with Manchego Cheese.

To remedy the problem I like to have a couple simple appetizers on hand for people to snack on. This year Prosciutto Wrapped Apples with Manchego Cheese will be on the table. They’re quick and easy to make and you only need four ingredients to make them.

Manchego cheese is my favorite cheese. It’s a Spanish sheep’s milk cheese that has a slightly sweet, nutty, buttery flavor that most people can get behind. It’s a firmer cheese like Parmesan so it holds up well in the warming process of the appetizer and shouldn’t melt all over the place.

Prosciutto Wrapped Apples with Manchego Cheese

Ingredients
- 1 honeycrisp apple, cored and cut into 16 slices
- 8 slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
- 3 ounces manchego cheese, sliced about 1/4 inch thick and 2 inches long
- Honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Take a slice of apple and cheese and wrap a half slice of prosciutto around it. Repeat.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the wrapped apples in the skillet cut side down and cook until the prosciutto is golden and crispy and the cheese is slightly melted, about 2-3 minutes per side. Serve them warm drizzling with honey just before serving.

This app was amazing! I used the apples I had on-hand (more tart than honeycrisps) and I think a sweeter apple would be a nice contrast to the saltiness of the prosciutto… but still unbelievably good! Everyone loved them.
