Strawberry Sorbet Rosé Floats are a pretty and delicious dessert and cocktail all in one! All you need are three ingredients and a couple minutes to whip up this fun drink!
Celebration week continues! We started the week with that fabulous Chocolate Drizzled Strawberries and Almond Cream Pie and now we’re ending it with Strawberry Sorbet Rosé Floats!
I know it isn’t like me to post both a dessert and cocktail recipe in the same week, but when you’re turning 35 on Sunday and it’s Mother’s Day, it calls for sweets and a little booze.
I don’t feel like I’m turning 35 this year. Well, let me rephrase that. My mind doesn’t feel 35, but lately the old body feels more like 53. Running has been off to a rough start this year. Injuries, fatigue, slow paces. It’s been frustrating and making me feel old. I’m hopeful though with warm weather finally returning that things will turn around. In the words of Des Linden, “keep showing up”, because nothing will ever change if you don’t.
I’m looking forward to a few runs in the mountains this weekend. I’m sure they won’t be very warm or fast (high altitude), but the change in scenery will be nice and hopefully change my frame of mind as well. Since I’m not sure when we’ll get home the day of my birthday and if I’ll have time to make a birthday cake or pie for myself, these Strawberry Sorbet Rosé Floats will be a great stand-in.
If you aren’t a baker or just don’t have time to make an elaborate dessert for mom this year, these Strawberry Sorbet Rosé Floats will save you and impress mom at the same time. You only need 3 ingredients to make them and about 2 minutes. Seriously it doesn’t get any easier than this!
A bottle of sparkling rosé, strawberry sorbet and strawberry jam are all that you need to make these dessert cocktails. Be sure to buy a dry sparkling rosé and not something sweet like moscato. Since the sorbet and strawberry jam are already sweet, a sweet sparkling wine would be too much.
Not only will these rosé floats be great for Mother’s Day (and my birthday), but for any special occasion, girls night, or summer get together. Enjoy!
