Thanks to my friends at Vital Proteins for sponsoring this post. As always all opinions are my own.

What a wonderful and relaxing few days we had in Beaver Creek this past weekend! I’m so glad we were finally able to get away, it’s been way too long. Of course now that we’re home, it’s back to the daily grind of work and our normal eating routine. Vacations, no matter how long or short they are leave me feeling a little weighted down even though I thoroughly enjoy trying all the new food. It’s nice to have a week of clean eating when we get home to get back on track. One drink I’ve been making and loving in the afternoons is this Strawberry Melon Mint Kombucha Smoothie.

A gluten-free, dairy-free and delicious way to quench your thirst! For the most part I’m just a water girl when it comes to drinks, unless we’re talking Saturday night then it’s all the wine and cocktails please! However, sometimes water just doesn’t cut it on a hot afternoon and I need a little something extra. Lately, I’ve been enjoying kombucha.

If you’ve never had kombucha it’s a fermented drink made with tea, sugar, bacteria and yeast. Sounds kind of gross, but we’re talking good for you bacteria like the kind you find in yogurt, kimichi, kefir and other fermented foods. Drinking it straight out of a bottle on a hot afternoon is always refreshing, but when you turn it into a smoothie, it really hits the spot!

A gluten-free, dairy-free and delicious way to quench your thirst! This Strawberry Melon Mint Kombucha Smoothie not only has the health benefits of kombucha and fresh fruit, but it also contains Vital Proteins Melon Mint Collagen Beauty Water. This is a new product from Vital Proteins and I was excited to try it out like I am with all their products. The Collagen Beauty Water is great for collagen lovers (like me) who are looking for a lightly flavored blend to add to their water or a smoothie like this one.

It comes in powdered form and just like the unflavored collagen dissolves completely in liquid. Each serving contains 10 grams of marine collagen which helps to enhance skin hydration, improve it’s elasticity and firmness and supports the overall health of your hair, skin and nails. Here in the dry air of Colorado I need all the assistance I can get with skin hydration.

If you want your smoothie a little more frozen add in ice or freeze your fruit prior to making it.
